Standing Sideways the film is 10 years old! Re-edit time!

Scroll down to watch the original full length film.

Our first UK snowboard movie, filmed on snowflex and indoor snow slopes, was released in 2004. To celebrate turning 10, we've dug out the harddrives and re-edited the footage adding unused shots and new music.
Shot on a Digi8 handycam, the footage may be grainy but the tricks still cut it against todays riding standard.

Take a look at UK snowboard history and to watch the original full length film scroll down.

Thanks to everyone who made the first film possible and has been involved with Standing Sideways over the past 10 years.

‘Standing Sideways’ exposes the previously undocumented riding talents and thriving scene at the UK’s dryslopes and indoor snow centres.
Filmed throughout 2002-2004, ‘Standing Sideways’ was the first film produced by Damian Doyle and received huge acclaim, from the UK’s riders and the industry alike. The film was David Benedek’s “favourite movie of the year” inspiring him to travel to the UK and film at Halifax Dryslope for his movie “inShort”.

-Shot on a Sony Digital8 camera, edited in FCP with no colour correction. Made back in the day when DVD's were sought after and internet releases were unheard of.
